About Us
Hurdle Hearing and Audiology was first established in 1952 by Robert Hurdle, grandfather of Dr. Hurdle. Dr. Christopher Hurdle’s father has been a long time physician in the Santa Maria Valley, making Dr. Hurdle a 3rd generation provider specializing in helping others improve their hearing and communicative abilities.
Dr. Christopher Hurdle
Dr. Hurdle is a Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo graduate. He received his Master’s Degree in Communicative Disorders from Cal State Los Angeles, and his Doctorate in Audiology from Arizona School of Health Science. He is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. He works closely with ear, nose and throat, and primary medical practitioners. We participate with most insurances. LuAnne Hurdle—Office Coordinator
LuAnne joined our staff in January of 2016. She brings 25 years of customer care and patient experience to the Hurdle Hearing Team. She is trained in referrals, insurance authorization, patient scheduling, back office procedures, patient care, and coordinating the flow to both offices. We would love to take care of your hearing needs and keep your hearing aids working at their best.
Ashley Zamudio—Patient Care Specialist
Ashley joined our team in 2020. She brings many years of professional service. She is the friendly, knowledgeable face you will see in the Santa Maria office. She is well trained in patient and hearing aid care, insurance authorizations, scheduling, referrals, and communicating between the two locations. She is very enthusiastic about every aspect of patient care This includes greeting our patients and making sure all paperwork is accurate and patients are taken care of in a timely matter.
